Cantonment Board Kamptee

There are 62 Cantonments in the Country. Kamptee is one of the 7 Cantonments in the state of Maharashtra. The Cantonment Board is a local self government body constituted under the Cantonments Act 1924, under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The Kamptee Cantonment Board

Caters to the Civic needs of the population, both Army & Civil residing therein, & is engaged in improving the quality of their life.

Mission & Vision

The Kamptee cantonment Board has been established under the provisions of the Cantonments Act 1924. It is a local self Government Body Administrating the Civic needs of the Community residing therein.

Constitution of The Cantonment Board

The Cantonment Board comprises of 12 members, of whom 3 are Ex –Officio, and 3 are nominated. There are 6 elected members. The station Commander who is an Ex- Officio member is the President of the Cantonment Board.

The Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) who is an IDES officer, looks after the day to day administration of the Cantonment board.
