Medical Services
IRMS - Indian Railway Medical Service

Indian Railway Staffs are classified into gazetted (Group 'A' and 'B') and non-gazetted (Group 'C' and 'D') employees. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Civil Services Examination for recruitment to all gazetted posts in the railway services. The recruitment to Group 'C' and 'D' employees on the Indian Railways is done through 20 Railway Recruitment Boards which are controlled by the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB).

Age limit for Group 'A' and 'B' posts is between 21 to 30 years, and for Group 'C' and 'D' is 18 - 30 years.
