ONE JUNIOR/ SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW POSITION AVAILABLE

ONE JRF/ SRF position is available in the Systems Biology for Biofuel Group, ICGEB, New
Delhi, for a DBT-sponsored project titled “Scaling up recombinant fungus-based
technology for producing DIBzyme-3 cellulase composition, its validation and further
genetic improvement”. The position is available initially for 1 year and is extendable, subject
to satisfactory perfonmance and fund availability. The maximum project duration is 2 years.
No hostel accommodation will be provided to the candidate selected for the position.

Job description: The selected candidate will be responsible for optimizing fermentation to
improve enzyme production. The candidate will work as part of a team. Other responsibilities
include:

e Work closely with team members and provide them with any assistance as needed.
Preparing a detailed fermentation protocol and activity sheet.
Placing and tracking orders for required chemicals.
Traveling to the scale-up facility and ensuring successful fermentation scale-up.
Timely completion of experiments and preparation of reports for submission to the
funding agency.
e Preparation of manuscripts and presentations related to your work.

Qualifications: The incumbent should have an M.Sc. in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences/
Biotechnology or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized
University or equivalent. Candidates having NET/GATE/BET qualifications are encouraged.

fermentation, fungal culturing, fungal molecular biology, or fungal Omics analyses will be
preferred.

Salary: The salary and HRA for the position will be per DBT nomns, based on qualifications
and experience.
