Minimum eligibility (Qualifications) shall be as per UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for appointment of Teachers, 2018. The eligibility, terms and conditions prescribed for the posts are as follows: Guest Faculty Essential Qualification for Agriculture: 1. B.Sc. Agriculture degree from a recognized Institute/University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. 2. Master’s degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university in any discipline of Agriculture. 3. National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified [conducted by the CSIR or ICAR or UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET)] or candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 or 2022 and their amendments from time to time, as applicable, shall be exempted from NET. Provided that the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions: a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed/peer-reviewed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in National/International conferences/seminars/symposiums sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR/ICAR or any similar agency. The fulfillment of conditions (a), (b), and (c) is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. Other Terms and conditions: 1. SN Py I हट Selected candidates shall be paid an honorarium of %1500/-per lecture subject to maximum of 2 50,000/- per month. The selected candidates shall be engaged on purely temporary basis for a period of one semester, likely to be extended for another semester on satisfactory performance. However, the engagement will be terminated on the joining of a regular faculty in between. The services of Guest Faculty will be terminated without notice if found unsatisfactory. Under any circumstances, candidate cannot claim any right for permanent position. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
