How to Calculate Your Score Using UP GIC Lecturer Answer Key 2026
Once you have compared your responses with the provisional answer key, use this formula to estimate your score:
Estimated Score = (Number of Correct Answers × 2.5) − (Number of Wrong Answers × 0.83)
Example: If a candidate has 82 correct answers and 18 wrong answers, the calculation is: (82 × 2.5) = 205 marks from correct answers; (18 × 0.83) = 14.94 marks deduction; Estimated Total Score = 205 − 14.94 = 190.06 marks.
Note: Unattempted questions carry zero marks and no negative marking.

If you believe any answer in the provisional key is incorrect, file an offline objection. UPPSC does not accept online or email objections.
