What Is the “List of Eligible Candidates for Application Scrutiny”?

Many candidates confuse this list with a final merit list, so it is important to understand what this result actually means before taking any action.

This list is not a final merit list. It is a “Zone of Consideration” list – meaning it identifies only those candidates who are being called to submit their original documents for verification. Being on this list confirms that your preliminary exam score meets the minimum cutoff set by GPSC for your category. The final selection will be based on 50% weightage from the preliminary exam score and 50% weightage from the personal interview (Rubaru Mulakat), as per the GPSC office order dated 30 July 2016 (effective 01 August 2016).

GPSC Preliminary Exam Details – How Was the Exam Conducted?

The preliminary examination for both advertisements was conducted in two parts using the OMR method:

  • General Studies Paper: Held on 10 May 2026, jointly for 65 advertisements.
  • Subject-Specific Paper: Held on 03 May 2026, jointly for 10 advertisements.

For candidates who appeared in common/joint advertisements, a Self-Declaration was required – notified on 29 April 2026 (for General Studies) and 22 April 2026 (for Subject paper). Marks from the common advertisement have been credited accordingly.
