AMU Recruitment 2026: Notification for 22 Non-Teaching & Principal Posts

The university invites online applications from Indian Nationals (including OCI cardholders) for various prestigious positions including Librarian, Principal, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Medical Superintendent, and Assistant Librarian. Recruitment Type: This recruitment is primarily Direct Recruitment based on merit and interview. However, the university reserves the right to conduct a written test for shortlisting if the number of applicants is too high.

Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

• Librarian: Master's Degree in Library Science (55% marks), 10 years experience as Librarian, Ph.D. in relevant field, evidence of ICT integration.
• Deputy Librarian: Master's Degree in Library Science (55% marks), 8 years experience as Assistant Librarian/College Librarian, Ph.D. degree.
• Assistant Librarian: Master's Degree in Library Science (55% marks), NET/SLET/SET qualified OR Ph.D. degree (as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016).
• Physical Education Directors: Master's Degree in Physical Education (55% marks), represented University/College/State/National levels, NET/Ph.D. qualified.
  OR
  Asian/Commonwealth Games medal winner with Post-Graduation degree.
• Deputy Finance Officer / Deputy Registrar / Internal Audit Officer: Master's Degree (55% marks) + 9 years as Asst. Professor (Level 10+) OR 5 years as Asst. Registrar.
  CA/CS/ICWA considered equivalent to PG Degree.
• Assistant Registrar: Master's Degree (55% marks).
  CA/CS/ICWA considered equivalent to PG Degree.
• Principal (Schools): Master's Degree (50% marks) + B.Ed. (50% marks) OR Integrated B.Ed.
  Experience: Working as Principal (Level 12), or Vice-Principal for 3 years (Level 10), or 12 years service as PGT/Lecturer (Level 8).
• Medical Superintendent: Post Graduate Medical Degree (recognized) + 10 years teaching experience as Professor/Associate Professor (at least 5 years as Professor).

2. Age Limit & Relaxation

• Principal Posts: Minimum 35 years, Maximum 50 years. (No upper age bar for AMU employees).
• Others: Refer to Government of India Rules/University Norms.
• Age as on: Qualifications, experience, and age will be reckoned as on 04.03.2026 (Last date of application).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. of India rules.

3. Mandatory Requirements

• Physical Fitness: Candidates for Physical Education posts must pass the physical fitness test.
• Computer & Language: Principals must possess knowledge of Computer Applications and working knowledge of Hindi and English.

Selection Process

This is a Direct Recruitment process. The selection stages are as follows:

1. Screening: Initial scrutiny of applications to check eligibility.
2. Written Test (If Required): If the number of candidates is unmanageable, a Written Test of 100 marks may be conducted for shortlisting (1:5 ratio).
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates (based on qualifications/experience or written test) will be called for an Interview.
4. Final Selection: Based on performance in the Interview and verification of documents.

Note: The fee is non-refundable. Separate applications are required for each post.

2. Registration: Register and fill out the Online Application Form for the desired post(s).
3. Upload Documents: Upload necessary documents including educational certificates, experience certificates, and a valid PwD certificate (if applicable).

5. Submit Online: Submit the form before 11:59 PM on 04.03.2026.
6. Print & Sign: Take a printout of the submitted form. Paste a recent photo and sign on the designated space.
7. Send Hard Copy: Enclose self-attested copies of all documents (Mark sheets, Degrees, Experience Certificates, etc.). Send the hard copy via Speed Post or submit personally by 05:00 PM on 19.03.2026 to:
