Skills / Eligibility

Project entitled: "Modulation of Scheelite InVO4, CaWO4 semiconductor - employing carbon - supported materials (graphene, g-C3N4, C-dots) as electron flow mediator and electrocatalysts for photoelectrochemical H2-O2 production direct splitting of water” [Sponsoring Authority: DST, Govt. of India]

3. Essential Qualification:
First class in M.Sc. with Physical /Inorganic/Organic Chemistry Specialization from a recognized University/Institute (For SC/ST/ Person with Disability (PwD) category, a minimum 55% marks is required); (2) Valid NET or GATE score.
4. Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in the relevant field: Preference will be given to the candidates with experience on development of semiconductor materials, basic knowledge on electrochemical science and technology, handling of electrochemical workstation including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, analyzing data of the electrochemical, microscopic and crystallographic (XRD) experiments.
5. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000.00 + Rs. 2480.00 (8% HRA) = Rs. 33480.00 per month
6. Duration: Initially for one year and will be extended based on the performance for a maximum period of 3 years or till the termination of the project, whichever is earlier

1. Interested candidates should report in person directly for interview on 29-03-2022 at 1.30 PM in the Office of the HoD, Chemistry, IIEST, Shibpur.
2. Candidates should bring applications in plain paper with attached CVs along with the original and one set of attested copies of all relevant mark sheets /certificates/testimonials and a recent passport size photograph.
3. A walk-in-interview will be held in the Office of the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur, Howrah – 711013, West Bengal, on 29th March, 2022 at 1.30 PM for the recruitment of 01 post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST (Govt. of India) sponsored project
