Candidates need to be 8th or 10th or 12th pass to apply for driver job in the government department. Candidates need to check the minimum qualification since it differs from department to department. They have to go for driving test and interview. Candidates applying for driver’s job should hold a valid driving license for light motor vehicle or heavy motor vehicle or both depending upon the job requirement and should have hands on driving experience to increase their chances of landing a good job in the government. The requirement can range from driving heavy vehicle to light motor vehicle. He should have good knowledge of motor mechanism and good communication skills since he will have to deal with all odd situations in case of emergency. If a person has got a driving experience of 2-3 years it is considered good. Age limit which is desired for a driver’s job is 25-30 years but even less will do depending upon the job requirement. The pay scale varies from Rs 5000- Rs 20,000. Defence forces, Police and various Ministries announce driver vacancy throughout the year.
