Educational Qualification: I) Must Be Holder Of A Degree In Law Granted By A University Established By Law In India; Ii) Must Be Practicing As An Advocate In The High Court Or In A Subordinate Court On The Last Date Fixed For Receipt Of Applications And Must Have So Practiced For A Period Not Less Than Seven Years As On Such Date. Note: Public Prosecutor/assistant Public Prosecutor/government Counsel In Full Time Employment Of The State Having Not Less Than Seven Years Of Continuous Practice Immediately Preceding The Last Date Fixed For Receipt Of Online Applications Are Also Eligible For Appointment.

Age Limit: 48 Years
Examination Fee: The Candidate shall remit an amount of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only). But, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, the fee payable shall be Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).

Candidates called for document verification at the time of viva-voce shall furnish all the relevant original certificates along with three sets of selfattested copies i.e., SSLC or any equivalent certificate in support of their Date of Birth, Marks Cards and Convocation Certificates of Degree and Law Degree, Caste Certificate, Certificates for having claimed reservation under Rural/Kannada Medium/Ex–servicemen category, etc., for verification. 1 Applicant shall read all the instructions carefully before submitting Online application, so as to avoid mistakes/rejection. 2 The selection is through Competitive Written Examination (Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Viva-voce). Applicant is advised to go through carefully the Karnataka Judicial Service (Recruitment) Rules, 2004 and Amendment Rules 2011, 2015 and 2016 published in the Karnataka Gazette Part-IVA (Extraordinary) dated 09.09.2005, 11.07.2011, 12.03.2015 and 26.04.2016. 3 Applicant is advised to go through carefully the orders of the Government of Karnataka made under Articles 16(4) and 16(4A) of the Constitution and in particular, Order No.DPAR 08 SeHiMa 95 dated 20.06.1995 and other related Government orders which are in force.
