Applications are invited from the Indian Nationals in the proforma for direct recruitment of eligible meritorious sports persons from open market under sports quota for the vacancy years upto 2021, for the following Group "C" posts in Himachal Pradesh Postal Circle :-
1. Post Name: Postman
2. No of Post: 2
3. Pay: Pay level -3 (Rs. 21,700 - 69,100)
4. Qualification:
The candidate applying for the post of Postman/ Multi Tasking Staff should have studied local language of Himachal Pradesh i.e. Hindi at least up to 10th standard. The candidate selected for the post of Postman should acquire a valid driving licence to drive two wheeler or three wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) within a period of two years of appointment.

Age Limit: 18 - 27 yrs
Selection Procedure
1. All the eligible candidates shall have to appear for mandatory computer Typing Test of qualifying nature.
2. Candidate opting for English medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute
3. This condition does not apply to the candidates applying only for the posts of Multi Tasking Staff.
4. Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for further selection process.
5. The selection of the candidates will be made strictly on the basis of DOPT Office Memorandum F.No. 14034/01/2013-Estt(D) dated -3rd October, 2013
6. There will be no field trial of sports for the selection.
7. Candidates on selection as Postal Assistants or Sorting Assistants, must acquire proficiency in Hindi language for confirmation of the candidates to the allotted posts.

1. Last date for receipt of application will be 15.12.2021.
2. The application to be superscribed as "Application For The Post Of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant/postman/multi Tasking Staff In Hp Circle Under Sports Quota" in the form Annexure-A attached to this Notification, completed in all respects should be sent at following address by speed post /registered post only: - The Chief Postmaster General, (R&E Section) H.P Circle, Kasumpati, Shimla - 171009.
3. Write the required information in English or in Hindi only.
4. One envelope should contain application of one candidate and for one discipline only, along with its required enclosures.

About Himachal Pradesh Postal Circle
The Himachal Pradesh Post Circle has its Headquarters located in Shimla. It was designed out of erstwhile in N.W Circle in December 1986. The circle is surrounded by whole state of Himachal Pradesh that covers a wide area of 55673 Sq.km. It consists of 9 Postal Divisions, one R.M.S. Division, one Postal Stores Depot and the office of Director of Accounts (Postal). Himachal Pradesh Postal Circle is the pride owner to have largest post office in the entire world at "HIKKIM"which is situated at 14567 feet under Rampur Bushahr Postal Division.
The establishment of circle, till march 2000, the Postmaster General of Joint Secretary to the Government of India continue to remain the administrative head of the Circle. With its renewal of post in March , 2000 the circle is now controlled by Chief Postmaster General of the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. The Circle, at its Headquarters, consist Chief Postmaster General is helped by one Director Postal Services, Director (Accounts) and four other officers.
