Educational Qualification:
Project Associate: First class Master’s degree in Botany with experience in Taxonomy of Plant species for a period of 5 years. Candidate having Ph. D. Degree in the subject of Plant Taxonomy with 03 year experience will be preferred.

Junior Project Consultant: First class Master’s degree with 05 years experience or Ph. D. in the field of Environmental Science having more than 03 years working experience in the field of environmental pollution in case of mining projects. OR First class M. Tech. in Mining with 3 years work experience in the mining field.

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Environment and Forests. It was created in 1986. The main functions of ICFRE are to conduct forestry research; transfer the technologies developed to the states of India and other user agencies; and to impart forestry education. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources. ICFRE functions are to conduct forestry research; transfer the technologies developed to the states of the country and other user agencies; and to impart forestry education. The council has research institutes and advanced centres located at Dehradun, Shimla, Ranchi, Jorhat, Jabalpur, Jodhpur, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Allahabad, Chhindwara, Aizawl, Hyderabad and Agartala. Research perspectives are - Conservation, protection, regeneration, rehabilitation of natural forest ecosystems; Revegetation of barren, waste, marginal and mined lands, Research on tree improvement, Ecological rehabilitation of all fragile ecosystems.
