About Institute of Bioinformatics & Biotechnology
IBB was established in 2002 at the Savitribai Phule Pune University under the University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) grant of University Grants Commission with Professor Dileep Deobagkar as the Founder Director. The focus of IBB is to promote high quality research and develop technically skilled human resource in the area of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology.
Our vision is to achieve excellence at the global level in research and manpower development in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. The Institute will stand for integration of basic research with industrial applications in greater interest of national achievements in this era of Modern Biology.
