The Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) is an organization established under the Legal Services Authorities Act of 1987. The primary objective of the KSLSA is to provide free legal aid and assistance to people who are unable to afford legal representation.
The organization aims to ensure that justice is accessible to all, regardless of their financial status. The KSLSA provides legal aid to marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society, including women, children, and the disabled.
The KSLSA also undertakes various programs and initiatives to create legal awareness among the general public, with a particular focus on educating people about their legal rights and entitlements.
The organization is headed by a Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala, who serves as its patron-in-chief. The KSLSA also has an Executive Chairman who oversees its day-to-day operations.
