Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) was established in 1975, in Thrissur, Kerala. KFRI became a part of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) in 2002. The Institute was founded with sole purpose of research in tropical forestry, environment and biodiversity conservation. KFRI campus is located at Peechi, around 20 kms from Thrissur. KFRI has special laboratories for research in Tissue-culture, Clonal Multiplication, Physiology, Wildlife Biology, Soil Science, Biotechnology, Wood Sciences, Biochemistry, Mycology, Entomology, Sylviculture, GIS and RS

Educational Qualification:
1. First class Post Graduate Degree in Zoology.
2. Minimum one year of experience in conducting bird hazard studies in civilian/defense airports/air stations in India.
3. Good communication skills in English/Hindi and Malayalam Desirable qualification: Advanced skills to identify urban/wetland birds and other fauna of Kerala. Knowledge and experience in managing bird strikes in airports. Net/Gate qualified candidates will be given preference.

Pay Scale:
INR
31000/- Per Month

Age Limit: 36 years as on 01/01/2021.
