Educational Qualification: B.Sc, B.Lib

Applications are invited for filling up 02 posts of Library and Information Assistant (Group 'B' Non-Gaz. Non-Ministerial) in Level - 6 (Rs. 35400-112400) in the pay matrix one (01) post at College of Defence Management, Secunderabad and one (01 ) post at Headquarters Andaman & Nicobar Command, Port Blair on Deputation (Including Short Term Contract) basis, The eligibility conditions for applicants are as under:-

3. Pay Scale: Level - 6 (Rs. 35400-112400)

4. Eligibility:

(i) Offcers under the Central Government or a State Government or Union Territory Administration or Autonomous or Statutory Organisation or Public Sector Undertaking or a Recognized University or institute or research institution:-

(a) (i) holding analcv.js posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) with six years' service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in Level-5 in the pay matrix (Rs. or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-

5. Essential:

(i) Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University.

(ii) Two years professional experience in a Library under the Central Government or a State Government or Union Territory or Autonomous or Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or recognized research or educational institution. Desirable Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute.

6. Note I: Period Of Deputation (Including Short Term Contract) including the period of Deputation (ISTC) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Govemment shall ordinarily not to exceed three years.
