NABI is involved in research activities for the Bio fortification, development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions towards quality food and nutrition, and development of evidence based functional foods to counter malnutrition. Food and nutritional Biotechnology division at NABI requires following research personnel purely on temporary basis. Advertisement no. NABI/5(01)/2011-22- 01-Res 1. Name of the Post: Project Scientist I 2. No of Post: 01 3. Project Title: “Germplasm Characterization and trait discovery in wheat using Genomics Approaches and its integration for improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional Quality” 4. Duration:- The appointment will be till the termination of the project. 5. Essential Qualification: - Doctoral Degree in Science or Master Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. 6. Desirable: - Experience in Mass Spectroscopy, Chromatography (GC/LC), Microscopy (SEM/TEM) 7. Emoluments: - Project Scientist-I will be hired as per emoluments’ guidelines and service conditions notified by DST (OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 21.08.2019) Rs 56000/ month + HRA) 1. Name of the Post: Project Scientist I 2. No of Post: 01 3. Project Title: “Germplasm Characterization and trait discovery in wheat using Genomics Approaches and its integration for improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional Quality” 4. Duration: The appointment will be till the termination of the project. 5. National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is the first Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, established in India on 18th February 2010.
National Agri - Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is located in Mohali, Punjab. NABl, Bioprocessing Unit (BPU) and an Agri-Food Biotech Park(ABP) form an Agri-Food Biotech cluster that would act as a "biotechnology hub" in the region. The agri food cluster has been developed to connect 3 essential related biotechnologies of crops, food and nutrition, and carry out bench to market activity through its state and regional resource networks.
A translation unit would be established in NABI to form linkages in the region among relevant R&D units, Management Institute and Small & Medium industries. The unit will support, strengthen, and promote innovation.
