Applications are invited for the project posts mentioned below from the eligible candidates in the prescribed proforma appended 1. Post Name: Project Scientist – D (Medical/Non-medical) 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Name of the project: Online Course for “Rational use of Drugs 4. Mode of submission: Through Email (Application form along with all supporting documents) 5. Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree (MD/DNB) in community Medicine/ PSM/ Pharmacy/ Pharmacology after MBBS with five years of experience OR Postgraduate diploma in above subjects after MBBS with six years experience OR MBBS degree recognized by MCI with eight years experience in medical subjects after after MBBS degree a. Non-medical: 1 st class master degree in Pharmacy/ Pharmacology/ Public Health/ Epidemiology/ Life science + Ph.D. degree in (Pharmacy/ Pharmacology/ Public Health/ Epidemiology/ Life Sciences) with eight years experience OR B.Pharm with 10 years’ experience 6. Desirable Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. in relevant subject Degree in MPH/MAE/M.Sc. (Epidemiology) 7. Remuneration: Medical: Rs. 67,000/- per month + HRA Non-medical: Rs. 54,000/- per month + HRA 8. Nature of Duties: Coordinate and manage the course Liaison with online course partner: nodal agencies and other stakeholders; run secretariat Assist core faculty in conducting the course Work with core faculty for the training programmes of the institute Any other work assigned by Pl/ Supervisory Officer/ Director 9. Name of the project: Development and validation of prognostic models for patients with traumatic brain injury: A comparison of the modern machine learning methods 4. Mode of submission: Through Email (Application form along with all supporting documents) 5. Essential Qualification: 1 st class Master’s degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University with two years’ experience in Health research. (OR) 2 nd class Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence from a recognized university. 6. Desirable Qualification and Experience: PhD degree or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science or related fields Practical scientific expertise and good theoretical background in biomedical statistics Motivation and experience in developing, validating and implementing supervised machine-learning / artificial intelligence algorithms with evidence of scientific publication a. Practical knowledge of development and validation of prognostic/clinical prediction model Experience of handling traumalinjury related data or working experience in trauma centers/hospitals Good programming skills in Python and/or R Highly qualified and motivated researcher A strong commitment, motivation, and discipline to work independently and efficiently 7. Remuneration: Rs.48,000/- plus HRA per month 8. Nature of Duties: Project implementation, coordination with other centers and Integration of data from all study centers Review of literature, data management and analysis including supervised machine learning/artificial intelligence modeling procedures, report writing, manuscript preparation and publication. Development, internal and external validation of prognostic models Any other work assiqned by the Director/PI/Supervisory officers 9. Duration One year (May be extended on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project). 1. Post Name: Project Scientist – C (Non – Medical) 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Name of the project: A systematic assessment of Acute Viral Hepatitis and Chronic Liver Diseases in North East India with special reference to strengthening of laboratories in the region 4. Mode of submission: Through Email (Application form along with all supporting documents) 5. Essential Qualification: 1 st class Master’s degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University with four years’ experience in Health research. (OR) 2 nd class Master’s Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics with Ph.D. in relevant subjects from a recognized university with four year experience. 6. Desirable Qualification and Experience: PhD degree or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related fields Practical scientific expertise and good background in biomedical statistics A good experience in data management and analysis using advanced statistical technique with evidence of scientific publication A very good practical knowledge of statistical packages (R, STATA, SPSS) Knowledge of using REDCap software Experienced in report writing and scientific publication Highly qualified and motivated researcher A strong commitment, motivation, and discipline to work independently and efficiently 7. Remuneration: Rs.51,000/- plus HRA per month 8. Nature of Duties: Project management and coordination with other centers Data management, cleaning, preparation and analysis using appropriate statistical techniques Report writing and manuscript preparation Any other work assigned by the Director/PI/Supervisory officers 9. Duration Six-months

3. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIE/ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project. TA/DA will not be paid by NIE for attending the written test/interview.
