Educational Qualification: M.Sc, M.Phil/Ph.D
The following positions have to be filled purely on a temporary basis in an ICMR funded research project under ICMR-National Institute of Medical Statistics, New Delhi.
1. Name of the Project: "State-wise impact of COVID-19 infection on years of potential Productive Life Lost (YPPLL) and Disability ears (DALYs) in India '
2. Name of the Post: Research Associate
3. Consolidated Salary: Rs. 47.000/- + (HRA 24%)
4. No of Post: 01
5. Essential Qualification and Experience: Master's degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Population Studies from a recognized university with three years' work experience from a recognized institution or PhD degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Population Studies.
6. Desirable Experience: At least 2 years experience in data analysis using SPSS, STATA, R, and report writing.
7. Nature of Duties: Review of literature, data analysis, and report writing.

National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS) was established in the year 1977, by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, too provide technical expertise on research Methodology, Programme, Evaluation, Mathematical Modeling, Data Analysis etc.
The aim of National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS) is to support excellence in the development, application and dissemination of Statistical Science through technical consultation and Statistical Service Research, Education by Advancing Research and Promoting Sound Statistical Practice to inform public policy and improve human welfare.
The vision & mission of National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS) is to promote and undertake research on statistical method in the field of Health, Medicine, Epidemiology and other allied areas and provide statistical service and assistance to Central, State and Local Bodies in handling problems related to dynamics of population. They also conduct training in applied bio-statistics for statisticians, Medical and Paramedical Personnel, etc.
