The following position has to be filled purely on temporary basis in an ICMR funded research project under ICMR-National Institute of Medical Statistics, New Delhi.

5. Essential Qualification and Experience: Graduate in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized university with five years' work experience from a recognized institution or Master's degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Population Studies/Decision Science (OR) /Social Work /Anthropology
6. Desirable Experience or skills: Experience in data analysis, documenting research work, ability in examining project-related information and report writing.
7. Nature of Duties: Review of literature-gather information, interpret information, research manuscript writing, report writing and preparation of project related presentations.
8. Name of the Project: "Hotspot and Socio Demographic Determinants of TB (Tuberculosis) in North-Eastern States, India: A Spatial Analysis"

1. Candidates have to bring two copies of Bio-Data (CV) in the prescribed format with a recent passport size color photograph along with self-attested copies in proof of his/her educational qualifications (all certificates and mark sheets form 10th standard), working experience, age, caste and photo-ID (Aadhaar Card) etc. for appearing in the interview. The candidates are also required to bring original certificates and testimonials for verification at the time of interview.
2. The reporting time will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the interview will be from 11:00 a.m. onwards.

ICMR-National Institute for Research in Digital Health supports excellence in the development, application through the technical consultation and research, education, publications, dissemination and advocacy. Our members serve in government and academia, advancing research and promoting sound practice to inform public policy and improve human welfare.
It is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi and has been known as National Institute for Research in Digital Health and Data Science(NIRDHDS) from 10th April 2024. The erstwhile National Institute for Research in Medical Statistics (NIMS) came into existence in the year 2005 before it known as Institute for research in medical statistics(IRMS) came into existence in the year 1977 the mandate to provide technical expertise on research methodology, programme evaluation, mathematical modelling, data analysis etc. It also provides technical assistance to institutes throughout india.
The tremendous involvement in the areas of medical digital health , bio-medical and bio-behavioral research, surveillance of communicable and non-communicable diseases, epidemiology, nutrition research, reproductive and child health and cancer research necessitated the renaming of the IRMS as NIMS and NIMS as NIRDHDS. The move enhanced not only the status of the Institute but also enabled it to develop e-database of health sector reforms in India apart from strengthening its resources base and capacity building.
