Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a temporary of post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the SERB-DST sponsored R&D project in the Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Silchar

3. Title of the project: On performance of structural damage detection based on: mathematical and machine-learning models in harmony, and domain adaptation with scaled physical model using limited sensors.

4. Sponsored Agency: SERB-DST, Govt. of India.

5. Project sanction number:CRG/2021/007352

6. Duration:35 months (extension based on performance review every 12 months)

7. Principal Investigator (P.I.) :Dr. Nirmalendu Debnath

8. Essential Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech. or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical or any relevant discipline (having first class throughout the academic career and GATE qualification).

9. Desirable Experience: Specialization/expertise/experience relevant to the areas like: Vibration / Modal Testing / Structural health monitoring.

10. Salary: Rs.31,000/- per month for first two years as JRF and Rs.35,000/- per month thereafter as Senior Research Fellow (SRF).

11. No objection certificate: Employed candidates are to submit no objection certificate from his / her employer at the time of interview.

12. Institute right: The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview on the basis of screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found

13. Relaxation on qualification and age : SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD/EWS candidates will get relaxation as per Govt of India Rules.
