Number of Vacancy: 1 Posts

Educational Qualification:
(i) Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale at the Master degree level from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000 and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, or Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education. or 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
(iii) Ph.D. Degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized University. and
(iv) Knowledge in Tamil to the extent of carrying official correspondence and drafting reports.

Pay Scale:
INR
37400-67000 + AGP Rs. 10000/-

Age Limit: 50 years but not more than 55 years.

All the candidates should submit a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn on or after the date of this advertisement towards the cost of application and registration (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Differently abled candidates) drawn in favour of the Registrar, Periyar University, payable at Salem. The envelope containing the filled in application superscribed on the left hand corner as “Application for the Post of Controller of Examinations” should be sent to The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem-636 011, Tamil Nadu, India either in person or by Registered Post so as to be received in his office on or before 31.08.2018 upto 5.00 p.m. Applications received after the last date will not be considered. The candidates who have applied in response to the advt. PU / R6 / COE / Advt. / 024633 / 2017 Dated: 05.12.2017 need not apply again.
