The Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) comes under the Ministry of petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. PPAC comes into force on 1st April 2002.
The vision & objective of Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) is to ensure effective administration of the subsidy schemes on Kerosene and Domestic LPG, notified by Government. And to monitor and analyse trends in International Oil Market and Domestic Price of crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas and their impacts on oil companies and consumers, and prepare appropriate technical report for policies maker.The service of Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) will also be utilized to wind up the Oil Pool Accounts.
