Educational Qualification: First class Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Earth experienced candidates Sciences along with good knowledge of remote sensing as evident from thesis and publications Desirable with due weight:
i. Experience in microwave remote sensing ii. Proficiency in Imaging software's and programming skills (like Python and MATLAB)
III. Experience in collecting ground truth data.
25000-30000/- Per MOnth
Age Limit: As Per Rules.

The filled-in application forms along with one set of attested copies of degrees, certificates, one passport size photographs should reach to us by email/post as per specified against the post above. It is mandatory for all candidates to deposit a non refundable fee Rs.800/- for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) by cash or Demand Draft (in favour of Director, Punjab Remote Sensing Centre payable at Ludhiana) must be deposited in the office of Punjab Remote Sensing Centre, PAU Campus Ludhiana-141004 on the date of test/Selection by 9.00 A.M. to be eligible for selection process starting at 09.30 AM. Candidates reporting after 10.00 AM shall not be considered for the selection process.

Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), was established in the year 1987, It's an autonomous organization comes under the Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab.
The aim of Center is to bring awareness amongst the planners decision maker regarding the role of remote sensing in an efficient management of natural resources at the state level.
The main objective of the organization is to carry out special temporal surveys to monitor changing land use and soil patterns, environment, irrigation system, forest resources, agricultural resources, groundwater resources and crops disease surveillance.
They also organize training facilities like Lectures, Seminars and Symposia for advanced Study and research in remote sensing technology and its regarded applications, by undertaking programmes to providing guidance, coordinate research and development in the related field for collecting efficient data acquisition and retrieval systems to act as the repository of various natural resources.
