Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for filling two non-vacational academic posts of PROJECT OFFICER (on contractual basis) (1 - OPEN & 1 – S.C. category) in the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension of the University for the period of 7 months from the date of joining on fixed remuneration of Rs.24,000/- per month.

3. Qualifications: Good academic record in the subject of Adult / Continuing / Community / Extension / Education / Community Development from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. M.Phil. or Ph.D. in a subject related to Adult learning or a Ph.D. in a subject under the Faculty of Humanities & Inter-disciplinary Studies or evidence of published learning materials and learning resources on areas listed in Adult / Continuing / Community / Extension / Education / Community Development or research in any of these area / areas.
a. Good academic record in a subject under Faculty of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies. Post Master’s diploma in Adult and Continuing Education from recognized Indian University or an equivalent diploma / degree from a foreign University. M.Phil. or Ph.D. in a subject related to adult learning or Ph.D. in a subject under Faculty of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies or evidence of published research learning materials and learning resources or published research in any of the relevant area / areas indicated above.
4. Desirable Experience: Two years experience of field work in a subject Adult / Continuing / Extension / Community / Non-formal Education / Community Development. -- OR -- Two years teaching experience in the subject of Adult and Continuing Education at Graduate / Post-Graduate levels. -- OR -- Two years teaching experience in a subject under Faculty of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies.
5. Note: For determining "Good Academic Record" in the following criteria shall be adopted.
(i) A candidate holding Ph.D. / M.Phil. Degree should possess at least a Second Class Master’s Degree, or
(ii) A candidate without a Ph.D. degree should possess a high Second Class Master’s Degree and Second Class in the Bachelor’s Degree, or
(iii) A candidate not possessing Ph.D. degree but possessing Second Class Master’s Degree should have obtained First Class in the Bachelor’s degree.
5. Provided that if the Selection Committee is of the view that the research work of a candidate as evident either from his/her thesis or from his/her published work is of very high standard, it may relax any of the qualifications prescribed under (i) above.

1. No correspondence will be made with applicants who are not short-listed or not called for interview.
2. Selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s previous record and performance during his/her interview. The University may also utilize seminar/colloquium and/or any other mode as a method of selection.
3. Canvassing in any form throughout the Selection Process shall entail disqualification of the candidate.
4. Provided that if the Selection Committee is of the view that the research work of a candidate as evident either from his/her thesis or from his/her published work is of very high standard, it may relax any of the qualifications prescribed under (i) above.
1. The completed application form shall be submitted in a cloth lined envelope, writing at the center of the envelope the name of the post, subject/department, specialization (if any) and its category to the “The Registrar, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building, Mahatma Jotiba Fule Educational Premises, Campus Chowk to Ambazari T-Point Marg, Nagpur-440 033 (M.S.), India” on or before 11 th FEBRUARY, 2022 up to 5.00 p.m.
2. Applicants shall not be entitled for any TA/DA towards attending the interview.
3. Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University well in advance, without waiting till the last date, to avoid postal delay or any other unforeseen problems. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
4. Application received after the prescribed last date is liable to be rejected and no communication in this regard will be made with the candidate.
5. Self-attested copies of the certificates shall be attached in support of information given in the application form wherever necessary and serial no. of enclosures shall be indicated in the relevant column of the application form. All the information contained in the application form shall be substantiated by supporting documents.
6. Candidates must read all the instructions before filling the application form in a prescribed "Format of Application" from the University website www.nagpuruniversity.ac.in Candidates must ensure that no column is wrongly filled in Application form as the information furnished therein would be used for deciding the eligibility and suitability of the candidates for being called for the interview.
7. Applications not in the prescribed form or incomplete or not submitted as per the instructions herein shall be treated as invalid and shall be liable to be rejected and the responsibility of such rejection shall be on the candidate himself/herself.

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), formerly known as Nagpur University, is a public state university, established on 4 August 1923 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is one of the oldest universities in India and the second oldest in the state of Maharashtra, after the University of Mumbai. It is named after Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, a renowned spiritual person from Vidarbha. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It has been accredited with the A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi.
It was in 1958 that some new Departments in Arts and Social Science faculties were opened; the major expansion, however, came in 1963 when several sciences and other teaching Departments were started. The departments were shifted to spacious buildings on the main campus in 1972-73. In later years, several career oriented courses have been started viz., Business Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Library Science, Physical Education, etc. In May 1983, the university was divided to form Amravati University. In September 2011 the university was again divided to part way for the Gondwana University. In 2005, the university was renamed to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University after Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, a renowned spiritual person from Vidarbha.
