Sub: Filling up of two posts of 'Senior Scientific Officer in the SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad on deputation for a period of one year - Regarding. Nominations are invited for filling up of two vacant posts of 'Senior Scientific Officer in the Pay Band-3 (Rs.15600-39100-) plus Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- (Revised: Level-10 Rs. 56100- 177500/-. These posts are to be flled by deputation for a period of one year.

4. Eigibility Criteria: Officers under the Central/State Forensic Laboratories:

(a) Holding analogous posts in the Level-10 Rs. 56100-177500/-(Revised) Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- and Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- (Pre-Revised).

(b) With two years regular service in post in the level-8 Rs. 47,600-151100/-(Revised) Pay Band-2, 9300-34800 and Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-(Pre-Revised).

(c) Possessing the educational qualifications and experience;

5. Essential: Masters Degree in Forensic Science/Physics/Chemistry/Toxicology/ Zoology Botany/ Bio-Chemistry/Biology/Microbiology/Forensic DNA &Serology/from a recognized University. Minimum five years teaching experience in recognized Academic institution/training institution/Academy. Working knowledge of computers.

6. Desirable: Ph.D in the relevant subject mentioned. (i)Minimum three years working experience in Central Forensic Science Laboratory/State Forensic Science |Laboratory/Police training College/Forensic Science department in any recognized University.

7. Nature of duties: (a)Taking theory & practical classes in Forensic Science, Forensic Toxicology and forensic Medicine for IPS probationers.

(b)Holding techniques used in Forensic Science.

(c)Planning and conducting Simulation Exercises;

(d)Supervise the simulated exercises in the crime scene hall. demonstration classes of various

(e)Ensuring proper record and maintenance of variouss equipments procured for the Forensic Science Wing.

(f)Ensure proper maintenance of the crime museum in the Academy.

(g)Assisting the Assistant Director (Scientific Aids) who is the overall in-charge of Forensic Science Section in the Academy
