It is proposed to fill up one position of "Young Professional II" on contractual basis for Young Professional-II under the Collaborative research project entitled "Cloning, expression and functional toxicity assay ofcrylD, cry2Af and vip 3Bb toxin genes from Bacillus thuringiensis isolate against Bt-resistant pink bollworm and other important lepidopterans" by walk-in-written test-cum-lnterview at ICAR-Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore-7 (Tamilnadu) on 19.01.2022 at 9.00 AM. F.No: 14-15 /2021-Estt. 1. Name of the Post: Young Professional II 2. No of Post: 01 3. Duration: One year from the date of engagement. 4. Essential Qualification: Post graduation(M.Sc/M.Tech) in Life Sciences from recognized university with 4 years/5 years of bachelor's degree and 2 years master's degree. Or Masters degree in life/basic sciences with 3 years bachelor's and 2 years master's degree specialization of life/basic sciences in Plant Molecular Biology/ Plant Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Botany. 5. Emoluments: Rs.35,000/-(consolidated) per month 6. Desirable: Isolation of Bt Cultures, maintenance of Bt cultures, spore crystal isolation, Molecular biology techniques like PCR, cloning, transformation, PAGE etc.

Selection Procedure
Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview
How to Apply:
1. The written test cum interview for the above position will be conducted through in- person at ICAR - SBI, Coimbatore on 19.01.2022 at 9.00 AM.
2. The candidate selected for written test should bring 'RT-PCR' test report on 17.01.2022 (test taken not earlier than 72 hrs) [proof of 2nd Dose Covid-19 vaccine taken and produce at the time of certificate verification.
3. The candidates should bring bio-data (in prescribed proforma) entire original certificates from SSLC onwards, one set of photocopies of certificates(self attested), experience certificate and latest passport size photograph at the time of written test for verification. Candidates those who fail to submit original certificates for verification will not be allowed for written test .
