Educational Qualification: M.Sc

3. Program: Sepsis-related mortality in neonates in India: A multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional research program for context-specific solutions

4. Project: Evaluation of transmission dynamics of bacterial infections causing culture-positive sepsis among Indian neonates in hospital settings- implications for preventive strategies

5. Minimum Qualification and Experience: Master's degree any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized University with minimum two post-qualification years of research experience.

6. Desirable Qualification & Experience: Experience in microbiology works, DNA sequencing and analysis of DNA sequences. Evaluation of virulence and resistance functions. Statistical analysis.

7. Monthly Emoluments:

i) Rs. 35,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions)

ii) Rs.28000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

4. Project: Development of an aptamer based low-cost non-invasive screening test for Hyperbilirubinemia

5. Minimum Qualification and Experience: MSc in any field of Life Sciences from a recognized University with two years of postqualification experience in the relevant field.

6. Desirable Qualification & Experience: Working experience in the field of molecular biology, nanotechnology, Diagnostics paper microfluidics, routine laboratory techniques like Gene cloning, PCR, ELISA, ALISA Western blotting, bacterial culture, affinity chromatography etc. Should have experience with Microsoft Excel and other basic computer applications. Should have good writing and presentation skills.

7. Monthly Emoluments:

i) Rs. 35,000/-+HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection through process National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions)

ii) Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Selection Procedure

1. The applications will be scrutinised/shortlisted and processed for further selection.

2. In case candidates are not found suitable for the posts notified, they can be offered lower post / lower emoluments on the recommendation of the Selection Committee

viii) Relevant experience certificates (if applicable)

ix) Caste / Disability certificate in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India, if applicable

3. Procedure for filling up online application:

i) The eligible and interested candidates may apply online at the Institute's website www.thsti.res.in/career. Applications thrOugh any other mode will not be accepted.

ii) On successful submission of application, an aut0-generated email containing the reference number will be sent to the email address provided. Please keep a note of the reference number for future correspondence.

iii) Candidates are required to keep a printout of the online application form by using the print button on the dashb0ard for future reference. Candidates must ensure that he/ she fulfils all the eligibility criteria as stipulated in the advertisement.

iv) If it is found that he / she does not fulfil the stipulated criteria during the recruitment process, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. If the same is noticed after the appointment, the candidate will be terminated following due process Incomplete applications shall be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
