What are the rules regarding negative marking in the RRB NTPC and RRB Group D Computer Based Tests (CBTs)?

Negative marking is strictly enforced in all RRB Computer Based Tests (CBTs) to penalize incorrect responses and maintain the integrity of the merit list.

Negative Marking Rule:

• Deduction: One-third (1/3rd) of the marks allotted for a question is deducted for every incorrect answer marked by the candidate.
• Unanswered Questions: There is no deduction of marks for questions that are left unanswered.
• Application: This rule is uniformly applied across all mandatory CBT stages for both RRB NTPC (CBT-1 and CBT-2) and RRC Level 1 (Group D) examinations.
