RRB NTPC follows the reservation policy as per Government of India norms:

- SC: 15%
- ST: 7.5%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 27%
- EWS: 10%
- PwBD: 4% (horizontal reservation across categories)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per DoPT instructions

Important conditions:
- OBC candidates must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 1st April of the notification year.
- PwBD candidates must have a benchmark disability of at least 40% and a valid disability certificate.
- Reservation benefits are applied zone-wise and category-wise during shortlisting and final selection.

False claims lead to disqualification at any stage, including after appointment.
