Typing proficiency is mandatory for certain undergraduate-level posts such as Junior Clerk cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist.

- Required speed: 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on computer
- Typing test is qualifying in nature and conducted after CBT-2
- Candidates must provide a certificate from a recognized institution or pass the test conducted by RRB

Exemptions:
- PwBD candidates may be exempted as per government norms
- Candidates opting for Hindi must have passed 10th grade with Hindi as a subject

Failure to qualify in the typing test disqualifies the candidate for typist-related posts, though they may be considered for other non-typist posts if opted and eligible.
