RSMSSB GNM Exam Pattern

  1. Introduction to the structure of the body, the cell, tissues, Body Cavities, composition of blood, formation of blood, Blood clotting factors, and blood products and their use.
  2. Anatomy and physiology of circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, excretory, endocrine, reproductive, nervous, sense organs, skeleton, and muscular systems.
  3. Introduction to nursing concept, scope, nursing as a profession, health determinants, assessment of health, nursing care of the patient, and Basic needs of the patient.
  4. Infection control, administration of medications, procedure, and techniques in First Aid &emergencies.
  5. Concept of health and diseases, primary health care, epidemiology, referral system, minor ailments, health care delivery system, health planning, community health services, National Health problems, health programs and health agencies.
  6. Growth and development, disorders and health problems of a child, child with congenital disorders, care of newborns and immunization.
  7. Classification of food, balanced diet, therapeutic diet, and vitamins, sources of carbohydrates and proteins.
  8. Pre and post-operative management, management of patients with disorders of respiration, gastro-intestinal disorders, metabolic and endocrinal disorders, and new logical disorders.
  9. Concept of mental health and mental illness, mental health assessment, mental disorders, and nursing management.
  10. Review of structure and functions of the female reproductive system, fetal development, management of normal pregnancy and normal labor, management of newborns, and high-risk pregnancy.
  11. Prepare topics related to programs/ schemes run under the National Health Mission
