This list is based on the official UT Administration notification (Order No. 530-LA(GAD) of 2025).
UT Ladakh Government Holiday 2026: The list of holidays for the Union Territory of Ladakh is uniquely structured to reflect its rich Buddhist and Islamic heritage. Check here the complete list of public, gazetted, and restricted holidays in Ladakh for 2026. The administration of the Union Territory has officially declared the holiday calendar for all government offices, educational institutions, and banks under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Ladakh, often referred to as the “Land of High Passes,” became a Union Territory on October 31, 2019. It is bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east, the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to the south, and the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir to the west. The UT has two districts: Leh and Kargil.
