Applications are invited from the eligible Indian National for a temporary position on contractual basis as indicated hereunder.

1. Name of Position: Research Associate
2. Essential Qualification: Doctorate (PhD) [in Life Sciences preferably with subjects Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Cell Biology] as evidenced from published papers in standard refereed journals.
3. Desirable Qualification: Genetic manipulation of mammalian cells in culture, fluorescence microscopy, recombinant DNA techniques and methods of studying protein properties and functions.
4. Project Title: “Regulation of cell fate: Role of RapGEF1 in differentiation and functional characterization of mutants that cause human developmental disorders” under the CSIR Emeritus Scientist Scheme in the Lab of Dr Vegesna Radha at CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad
5. Project Duration: Up to 01.03.2023
6. Emoluments: Rs.47,000/- p.m. + HRA as applicable/ admissible.

Selection Procedure
1. CSIR-HRDG prevailing guidelines are applicable to these positions. The application(s) received so will be considered by a designated Committee for screening and recommendations on engagement. The candidate(s) may have to appear for interview before the committee.

The Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB) is a premier research organisation in frontier areas of modern biology. The objectives of CCMB is to conduct high-quality basic research and training in frontier areas of modern biology and promote centralised national facilities for new and modern techniques in the inter-disciplinary areas of biology.
CCMB was set up initially as a semi-autonomous Centre on April 1, 1977. Earlier, the Governing Board of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) New Delhi approved the proposal in 1976 to establish such a Centre in view of the importance of research in the frontier and multi-disciplinary areas of modern biology. During 1981-82, the CCMB was accorded the status of a full-fledged national laboratory with its own Executive Committee and Scientific Advisory Council.
