Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Invites Application for Guest Faculty Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates suitable for empanelment for Guest Faculty for School of Liberal Studies in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi for the following subject/discipline. The panel will be valid for one year, however, validity of panel may be extended till completion of on-going Semester, if required. The candidates will be engaged for teaching assignments from the panel as per merit list of the panel after assessing the teaching load during the semester to meet the shortfall of teachers in AUD due to their long leave or due to requirement of additional teachers for newly launched programmes etc.

2. Essential Qualifications as per UGC Regulation 2018 

3. Subject/ Discipline : Economics

4.Specialization : Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Economics, Time Series Econometrics, Development Economics, Political Economy and Indian Economic History.

5. Desirable Qualifications : Ph. D. in Economics. And preferably taught undergraduates in colleges or universities.

6. Subject/ Discipline : History

7. Specialization : Ancient Indian History and Archaeology; Modern Indian History; Medieval Indian History; Medieval World History; Modern World History

8. Desirable Qualifications : Ph. D. in History. And preferably taught undergraduates in colleges or universities

9.Subject/ Discipline : Sociology

10.Specialization : Sociological Theories; Sociological Research Methods; Sociology of castes; Sociology of religion

11.Desirable Qualifications : Ph. D. in Sociology. And preferably taught undergraduates in colleges or universities.

12.Essential Qualifications as per UGC Regulation 2018  

i) A Master„s degree with 55% marks in :

a) Economics for Economics discipline 

b) History for History discipline

c) Sociology for Sociology discipline

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M. Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:

a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;

b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.

13.Honorarium : The Honorarium for Guest Faculty will be as per the UGC University Rules, i.e. Rs.1500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per month. Guest Faculty will not be treated like regular teachers or for becoming the members of the various statutory bodies of the University. The Guest Faculty will not be given the benefit of allowances, pension, gratuity and leave etc. as admissible to the regular teachers
