Government Engineering College Daman Recruitment 2026 - Sarkari Naukri

The Government Engineering College, Daman has been started since the Academic year 2018-19 with three Engineering Courses like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Additional Two Courses Computer & Bio-Medical Engineering were introduced from the Academic year 2020-21. Foundation Stone of the institute was laid by The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on 24th February 2018 and also inaugurated the building on 25th April 2023. This institute is administered by the U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi & affiliated with Gujarat Technological University Ahmedabad.

College has been established with the aim of imparting quality technical education to the students particularly from Rural/Tribal areas to groom them into skilled technocrats replete with ethical and moral values and discipline in their profession as well as a strong awareness of their social responsibility. Institute also focuses on the overall development of students by engaging them in various socio-cultural activities through NSS and NCC.

College campus is spread over 11.40 acres of land inVarkund village on Vapi-Daman road. The location of the institute in this region is chosen for its possibility of bringing about a sea change in this primarily undeveloped or educationally backward area.
