Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 2 Posts:
  • CSIR-UGC NET / GATE qualified
  • Postgraduate degree in Forestry, Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science, Sociology, Statistics, Watershed Management, Economics, or allied disciplines
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 1 Post:
  • CSIR-UGC NET / GATE qualified
  • Postgraduate degree with minimum 2 years of research experience in Forestry, Ecology, Statistics, Wildlife Biology, or allied disciplines
  • Alternatively, candidates currently pursuing Ph.D. are eligible

Scope of Work: Survey and assessment, biodiversity assessment, assessment of Non-Timber Forest Produce including MAP, assessment of Forest Carbon Stock and Carbon Sequestration, assessment of Bamboo/Rattans, soil erosion vulnerability assessment, assessment of impact of Forest Fires, water resource management, and other tasks as per NWPC 2023 guidelines.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Walk-In Interview at the office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Giridih West Forest Division, on 21 November 2026 from 11:00 AM
2. Document verification of original educational and experience certificates during the interview
3. The decision of the Divisional Forest Officer shall be final
