Zone-Wise Distribution (Navik GD Male): Vacancies are distributed among five zones — North (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh), West (Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Goa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli & Daman & Diu), East (West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim, Odisha), South (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Lakshadweep), Central (Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar). All other posts are filled on an all-India basis.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Navik (General Duty): Class 12 passed with Mathematics and Physics from a board recognised by COBSE.
- Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10 passed from a recognised board (COBSE).
- Hygienist-I: Matriculation or ITI or equivalent qualification.
- Yantrik: Class 10 + 3/4-year AICTE-recognised diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics & Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering; or Class 10 & 12 + applicable 2/3-year AICTE diploma. Yantrik candidates without the original diploma at Stage-II may submit a provisional certificate signed by the Head of College/University; original must be produced at Stage-III.
Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The CGEPT recruitment process consists of four mandatory stages. Candidates must clear every applicable stage to be enrolled.
- Stage-I: Computer-Based Examination (CBE) — 100 questions, 100 marks, 1-hour duration, in Hindi and English. No negative marking. Qualifying marks: UR/EWS/OBC – 40, SC/ST – 35. Scores may be normalised if conducted in multiple shifts. Shortlisting for Stage-II based on Stage-I merit.
- Stage-II: Document Verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Assessment & Adaptability Test, and Recruitment Medical Examination. PFT — Male: 1.6 km run in 6 min 30 sec + 20 squats + 15 push-ups + 15 bent-knee sit-ups; Female: 1.6 km run in 8 min + 15 squats + 10 push-ups + 10 bent-knee sit-ups. All four tests conducted consecutively without break. Failure in any single test = failure in PFT.
- Stage-III: Document Verification and Pre-enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka.
- Stage-IV: Verification of original documents with concerned boards and universities.
Medical Standards: Minimum height — Male 157 cm, Female 152 cm. Chest (Male) — minimum 77 cm with 5 cm expansion. Weight proportionate to height/age. Hearing normal. Dental — healthy gums with at least 14 dental points. Height relaxation may be available for candidates from specified regions/communities upon production of domicile certificate.
Visual Standards: Navik GD — 6/6 better eye, 6/9 worse eye · Navik DB — 6/36 · Yantrik — 6/24 · Hygienist-I — 6/60 without glasses, 6/9 with glasses (better eye).
Identity Verification: Candidate identity is verified through photograph, live image, and left-thumb biometric verification during selection.
Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the Stage-II and subsequent stages of recruitment.
Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates
Candidates must carry original and photocopy sets of the following documents at every stage of the recruitment process:
- Original Matriculation (Class 10) Certificate or Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
- Class 12 Marksheet with subject-wise marks (for Navik GD candidates)
- All Diploma / ITI / Matriculation Marksheets and Certificates (as applicable per post)
- Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable)
- Recent Passport-Size Colour Photograph (within 6 months) and Scanned Signature
- Valid Photo ID Proof — Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID / Driving Licence / Passport
- Domicile Certificate (for zone-specific Navik GD Male candidates)
- Service Certificate / NOC (where applicable)
- Provisional Diploma Certificate (for Yantrik candidates, if original diploma not yet issued)
- Two additional recent passport-size photographs
Application Instructions: Candidates may apply for only one post. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last application will be retained. A limited edit window of 2–3 days is expected after registration for correction of permitted details. All stages of recruitment are mandatory.

The application process is entirely online through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) website. The steps are as follows:

- Complete the registration process and retain your registered mobile number and email ID.
- Log in and select the ICG CGEPT 2027 application form.
- Enter subject-wise marks carefully as mentioned in the marksheet.
- Upload the required photograph, signature, and live photograph as instructed.
- Select preferred Stage-I examination cities.
- Pay the applicable application fee online.
- Review the complete application through the preview option and submit.
