1. Position: Junior Consultants

2. No of Posts: 14

3. Name of the Project: CGMFP & ICAR-IIMR joint project on “Millet Promotion in Chhattisgarh”

4. Emoluments: Rs 50,000/ month (Consolidated)

5. Project Till: March 2022 (Likely to be extended for 2023)

6. Qualification:

(i) Master’s degree in: Agricultural sciences (Seed Technology/ Agronomy / Plant Breeding/ Agrl. Economics) Agrl. Extension, or Equivalent Master Degree in Agri-Business/ AgriMarketing from Recognized Institute or allied fields.

(ii) Must be having relevant experience of 2-5 years. Exposure to field production and procurement, processing and machinery retrofitting in millets.

(iii) Willing to work in District headquarters in Chhattisgarh with govt departments and liase with various stakeholders

7. Roles & Responsibilities:

(i) Providing technical guidance to district authorities on Millets mission road map.

(ii) To liaison with Nutrihub and the District and State authorities for the activities

(iii) Coordination for all relevant activities with coordinator/ co-coordinator of ICAR- IIMR and District Administration officials nominated by the District Collector, for carrying out the activities of Millet mission in Chhattisgarh

(iv) Responsible for the activity of preparing the DPR for the 10,000 MTPA millet processing plants.

(v) Coordinate with Senior Consultant for Conducting field workshops for farmers and trainers, to improve profitability of Millet cultivation.

(vi) Coordinate with Senior consultant for Collection and dissemination data on the estimated increase in acreage under Millet cultivation and per acre increase in productivity for each millet in reference in the district.

(vii) Should be able to guide on the latest technologies, latest agricultural practices for enhancing farmer’s income through increased productivity.

(viii) Place of working: Districts of Chhattisgarh

(ix) Any other task assigned by ICAR-IIMR
