Eligibility Criteria for IIT Roorkee JRF & Research Associate Posts 2026

Research Associate I

• Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering / Earthquake Engineering / Mining / Soil Dynamics from IIT/NITs/CFTIs or reputed institutions.
• Ph.D. in relevant areas: physical modelling/centrifuge modelling, or numerical modelling of blasts in soils, or dynamic loading.
• At least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) or Q1/Q2 journal.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with minimum CGPA 7.0/10 or 70%.
• M.Tech. in Structural Engineering / Structural Dynamics / Earthquake Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering with minimum CGPA 6.5/10 or 65%.
• Valid GATE qualification.
