Applications are invited for the following post purely on contractual basis in ICAR-Indian Institute Millets Research, Hyderabad-500030 through virtual interview on 08thApril 2022 at 11:00 A.M onwards.

1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow

3. Name of the Project: Molecular prediction and candidate gene(s) identification for grain yield heterosis in kharif sorghum through genomics and transcriptomics approaches

4. Essential Qualification: Post-Graduate in Basic Sciences (i.e., Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Plant Science) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (i.e. Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Agricultural Biotechnology) with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA selected through a process described through any one of the following:

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

5. Desirable: Research experience in handling field experiments, field crop evaluation, SSR and SNP genotyping, transcriptome and qPCR analysis and bioinformatic analysis as evident from project work / thesis work / publications.

6. Emoluments per month: Rs. 31,000/- +HRA (24%)
