Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Sr. Project Assistant (Tech.) – 1 Post:
  • Essential: 1st class M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferably with experience in rural technologies development, testing and implementation
  • Desirable: Ph.D. degree
  • Pay-slab: Rs. 47,790 – 49,220 – 50,700 – 52,220 – 53,790 – 55,400 – 57,060 – 58,770 – 60,530 – 62,350 p.m. plus HRA @ 27%
• Project Attendant – 1 Post:
  • Essential: Class XII passed
  • Skills in operating machines, fabrication and demonstration of rural technologies
  • Pay-slab: Rs. 26,860 – 27,660 – 28,500 – 29,360 – 30,240 – 31,150 – 32,080 – 33,040 – 34,030 – 35,050 p.m. plus HRA @ 27%
• General: Candidates must be of Indian nationality. A 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection is through a walk-in test/interview scheduled on 25 November 2026 at the RuTAG Lab venue.
• Sr. Project Assistant (Tech.): Candidates report at 03:00 PM. Project Attendant: Candidates report at 04:30 PM.
• Original academic and professional certificates will be verified on the date of interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
• No candidate already employed at IIT Delhi / IRD will be interviewed unless their application has been duly forwarded by the concerned establishment/section.
• Appointment is on a contractual basis on consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the project duration (till 08/10/2027), whichever is earlier.
