Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, Any Masters Degree

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Project Associate to work in DST sponsored Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Ropar in the framework of National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM - ICPS).

1. Position description: Project Associate (Mechanical)

2. Location: IIT Ropar, Punjab

3. Number of positions: 02 (two)

4. Type of job: Full time (on contract)

5. Duration: 3 years position. Initially for 1 year. Contract can be extended beyond three years based on satisfactory performance. Regular assessment (Half yearly/Yearly) would be done. The candidate may have the possibility of entering into the PhD program of IIT Ropar subjected to the meeting of the required conditions of the department of Mechanical Engineering, performance in the interview and initial application forwarding of the investigator based on the performance in the project.

6. Necessary qualifications:

a. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

b. Master degree in an allied discipline with good academic record

c. A valid GATE (or equivalent exam) score in Mechanical (or allied) engineering

d. Minimum of 65% marks or 7 CGPA (60% marks or 6.5 CGPA for SC/ST) 

7. Preferred qualifications: Good knowledge of Product design, manufacturing. Good knowledge about automation, Arduino, android studio and experience in programming.

8. Remuneration: Rs 31,000/- + HRA (as per DST norms). Suitable accommodation on institute campus may be provided based on availability.
