IVRI Invites Application for Lab Assistant, Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited from the Indian citizens for filling up the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Lab assistant under the DBT (New Delhi) sponsored, purely time bound project undertaken at FMD Research Centre, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Hebbal, Bengaluru. The candidate will not have any opportunity for applying to regular Ph.D. program in the Institute or elsewhere. The details of the project are mentioned below:

1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow 01

2. Title of the Project Development of genome edited BHK-21 cells line to rescue Foot and Mouth Disease Virus Asia1 mutants

3. The position is purely temporary, with an initial appointment for one year and extendable solely based on performance.

4. Educational Qualifications: Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Zoology) OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (B.V.Sc.&A.H./M.V.Sc.) with National Eligibility Tests (NET) such as CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE or Equivalent examination

5. Desirable: Experience in Moecular Biology, Gene editing, virological techniques and Animal cell culture.

6. Emoluments: Rs.31,000 + 24% HRA

6. Emoluments: Rs.20,000 + 24% HRA Emoluments shall be applicable only if candidates met educational qualification and eligibility criteria as per DST OM No .SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10-07-2020

Selection Procedure

Selection process through national level examinations conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc (Qualifications as per the DST Order No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01. 2019)
