Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

  • Essential: 12th (Science) pass with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT/DMLT) or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant subject/field is mandatory.

2. Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC Candidates: 5 years relaxation allowed.
    • Reserved Categories: Relaxation as per DOPT rules.
    • ICMR Staff: Age relaxation for staff working in ICMR projects at ICMR Institutes/Centers is allowed.

3. Mandatory Requirements

  • Caste Certificate: Proof of caste certificate issued by a competent authority is mandatory for reserved category candidates.
  • Physical Requirements: Candidates must be physically fit to work in a laboratory environment.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Phlebotomy: Collecting, receiving, labelling, and/or analysing blood, urine, and stool samples.
  • Performing Indirect Calorimetry (after training) and handling Sea horse analysis.
  • Designing and executing laboratory testing following standard procedures.
  • Recording experimental data accurately (written and/or electronic).
  • Organizing chemical substances and ensuring safety guidelines adherence.
  • Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment.

The selection for this temporary post will be based on the following stages:

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is a tertiary care, super-specialty hospital located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, India. It was established in 2009 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as an autonomous institute under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The ILBS is a mono-superspeciality hospital, which means that it provides primarily liver and biliary care. This focus on a single organ system allows the institute to achieve a high degree of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of liver and biliary diseases

The ILBS has a team of over 1000 doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The doctors are all highly qualified and experienced in liver and biliary diseases. They have received training in some of the best medical institutions in India and abroad.

The ILBS has a state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has a sanctioned capacity of 549 beds, out of which more than 300 are already operational, 4 operation theaters, a 24x7 emergency department, a blood bank, a pathology laboratory, and a radiology department. The hospital also has a dedicated research center.
