Eligibility Criteria for ICAR IARI Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

• Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow: Master’s degree in Horticulture/Fruit Science/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/Life Sciences with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. OR Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3-year bachelor’s degree AND UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET, GATE qualification or equivalent, OR Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines.
• Field Assistant: B.Sc. OR 3-year diploma in Engineering & Technology. Graduate degree in any discipline.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years for all posts.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India/ICAR rules for JRF/SRF; Max 35 years for men and 40 years for women (JRF/SRF), 50 years (Field Assistant).
