One Research Associate (RA) position is available in the SERB-CRG sponsored project (CRG/2021/000238) titled ‘Translating the Phylogenetic affinities between a plant pathogenic oomycete Phytophthora infestans and a human pathogen Plasmodium falciparum to reveal evolutionary convergence in virulence secretion using in-silico, proteomic and metabolomic approaches.’

3. Essential: Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biotechnology/Botany/Biotechnology/ Microbiology or related areas with at least 2 years work experience.

4. Desirable:

Experience in gene cloning and mutagenesis, recombinant protein expression and purification is desired. Preference will be given to candidates having first-hand experience in handling and culturing of Phytophthora or related plant pathogens under laboratory conditions, their genetic mutagenesis and imaging by fluorescence microscopy techniques on a case-by-case basis.

5. Fellowship: Rs. 47,000 plus 24% HRA/month

6. Desirable:

The selected candidate will be appointed on temporary basis, initially for a period of one year, and then may be extended, based on satisfactory performance, by the Principal Investigator for a maximum period of three years.
