A Project staff (technical person) position is available in the research group of Prof. Nilashis Nandi (Principal Investigator), Department of Chemistry, University of Kalyani. The project research work involves the use of advanced quantum chemical and computer simulation methodologies to study wastewater. A. Post Name: Project Staff (Technical Person) 1. Title of project: Development of host scavengers for wastewater treatment through matrix evaluation. 2. Funding agency: Tata Steel Ltd. 3. Remuneration: A maximum amount of Rs. 25,800 per month (consolidated) 4. Tenure: 12 months 5. Basic Eligibility Criteria: M.Sc or equivalent degree, in either Physics, Chemistry, Biophysics or Bioinformatics 6. Additional experience (highly desirable): Experience in computational chemistry

The University of Kalyani was established in 1960, is a state-government administered, affiliating and research university in Nadia district of West Bengal. It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
The university was established on 1 November 1960 by the Kalyani University Act 1960 of the state of West Bengal. The University of Kalyani is a State- University and its activities are guided by the Kalyani University Act, 1981 (amended up to 2001), enacted by the Govt. of West Bengal. The Act is supplemented by 'Statutes', 'Ordinances','Regulations' and 'Rules'. This act replaced 'The Kalyani University (Temporary Suppression) Act, 1978, which in turn replaced 'The Kalyani University Act, 1960. The University Grants Commission accorded recognition to the university.
