Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB funded Research Project titled "Complexities in the dynamics of antipredator chemical defense In marine ecosystems
1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow
2. No. of post: One
3. Eligibility Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (specialization in Mathematical Biology) with NET/ GATE as per SERB norms.
4. Desirable: Candidates having good knowledge in Computer Programming are encouraged to apply.
5. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. plus HRA as per SERB norms. Duration: Initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to December 2022, solely based on performance.

Selection Procedure
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by e-mail informing date of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

4. The selected candidate will be eligible to pursue Ph.D degree in Mathematics under the Ph.D. course of the University of Kalyani as per Ph.D. regulations.

The University of Kalyani was established in 1960, is a state-government administered, affiliating and research university in Nadia district of West Bengal. It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
The university was established on 1 November 1960 by the Kalyani University Act 1960 of the state of West Bengal. The University of Kalyani is a State- University and its activities are guided by the Kalyani University Act, 1981 (amended up to 2001), enacted by the Govt. of West Bengal. The Act is supplemented by 'Statutes', 'Ordinances','Regulations' and 'Rules'. This act replaced 'The Kalyani University (Temporary Suppression) Act, 1978, which in turn replaced 'The Kalyani University Act, 1960. The University Grants Commission accorded recognition to the university.
