Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Assistant Professor, Department of History (1 post):
  • A high Second-Class Master's Degree in any branch of History with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent Grade from a recognized University
  • Specialized knowledge in the historical and religious literature and culture of Assam
  • NET/SET pass is mandatory
  • Specialization: Open
  • Desirable: Ph.D. or equivalent research degree with records of independent research work, evidenced by publications and project works, shall be preferred
  • No specific prior teaching experience is required beyond NET/SET qualification
• Internal Auditor (1 post):
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with major in Accountancy
  • Uniformly good academic record throughout
  • Minimum five years of auditing experience in A.G. Office / Director of Local Accounts / reputed C.A. firm / auditing and accounting in any University
  • Working knowledge and practical experience in computerized accounting including Tally (Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime)
• General Conditions:
  • Open to eligible Indian citizens only
  • Candidates must be medically fit, certified by the Joint Director of Health Services of the district or a Government Medical Officer, before joining
  • Candidates found indulging in canvassing in any form will be disqualified
  • Applications submitted in any form other than the prescribed format will not be accepted

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• All posts remain purely temporary until confirmed after a minimum of one year's probation, which may be extended if necessary
• The appointee must join within one month from the date of the appointment order; the Vice-Chancellor may extend this deadline in exceptional circumstances
• The appointee must execute an agreement to abide by the Acts, Statutes, Ordinances, Rules and Regulations of the University
• All posts carry all other admissible allowances as per University rules in addition to the stated pay

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Screening: All applications will be scrutinised by a Screening Committee for short-listing. Stringent criteria may be applied during the short-listing process.
2. Interview: Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview or any written/screening test conducted by the University. The University reserves the right to withdraw any post or decide not to fill it at any stage.

• Attested copies of mark sheets, educational certificates, and birth certificate (HSLC certificate for age proof)
• Experience certificates on official letterhead (required for Internal Auditor — minimum five years)
• Valid SC/ST/OBC/Category Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable)
• Demand Draft or online payment receipt for the prescribed application fee
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if the candidate is in service
• Good character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended or served
• Two recent passport-size photographs and valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
